Their approach teaches people how to look at career and life planning through the lens of design. Whether you're a college grad entering the workforce, a forty year-old shifting careers, or a sixty-eight year-old trying to define an encore career, the search for a fulfilling life never stops.
Plagued by the question, "What do I want to be when I grow up?" Burnett's, students are given the tools to build their way forward and develop various life scenarios just like a designer tests multiple prototypes. This system fosters creativity and adaptability and allows the auidence to accept that there is always more than one path.
In our interview we discuss how to reframe limiting mental beliefs, how to take a designer's perspective of life, why you can't find the answers to life while sitting in your living room, and why broken toys mean a successful idea. I learned tons during this conversation and if you're ready to stop stumbling through life and want to implement easy-to-make changes to create a well-lived and joyful life then sit back and relax.
